Google hosts a dedicated Knowledge Panel specifically for Books. The SPP Book Builder maps your cover art, ISBN data, authors, and purchasing links to ensure your publication secures this high-visibility real estate.
Unlike standard webpages, a Book must be heavily cross-referenced to prove it exists.
Provide the exact ISBN (10 or 13-digit) and the Edition. Use the Format multi-select to define if the page relates to a Hardcover, EBook, or Audiobook.
Do not re-type the Book Title here. Use this section to map the Theme or Topic of the book (e.g., "Artificial Intelligence" or "Greek Mythology"). SPP will generate an about node linking the book to that topic in the Knowledge Graph.
If you are an independent author self-publishing the book, leave the Publisher set to Global Org. If you are an agency creating a page for an author published by a major house (like Penguin Random House), select Custom Publisher and enter their details.
Use the Authors and Illustrators repeaters to credit the creators. Always attempt to provide a Profile URL pointing to their Wikipedia page, personal site, or official Amazon Author profile to strengthen the Entity connection.
Google often displays a "Get Book" section inside the Knowledge Panel with links to various retailers.
Use the Offers repeater to generate these links. You can add one offer pointing to your own checkout page, another offer pointing to Amazon, and a third pointing to Barnes & Noble. Be sure to name the Offer (e.g., "Kindle Edition" vs "Paperback") so Google displays them correctly.
