The Product Builder

Unlock the Google Shopping tab and secure high-converting eCommerce rich snippets. The Product builder natively maps your SKUs, pricing variants, stock availability, and verified customer reviews.

1. Global Identifiers

For physical products, Google relies heavily on global identification numbers to compare prices across different merchants.

  • Brand Name: If left blank, SPP will automatically default to your global Organization name.
  • SKU: Your internal Stock Keeping Unit identifier.
  • GTIN / UPC: The Global Trade Item Number (the barcode). This is highly recommended if you resell products made by other manufacturers.
  • MPN: The specific Manufacturer Part Number.

2. Offers & Return Policies

A `Product` requires an `Offer` to be valid in Google Shopping. The SPP builder allows you to map multiple Offers to a single product if you have variants (e.g., different sizes or conditions).

Automated Merchant Return Policies

Google will issue Search Console warnings if your products lack a Return Policy. In the "Classification & Policy" panel, you can select your policy (30-Day, Lifetime, None) and provide a link. SPP will automatically attach this policy to every Offer you create.

3. Reviews & Analysis

You can provide an Aggregate Rating (e.g., 4.5 stars across 120 reviews) to instantly generate "Gold Stars" on the SERP. You can also manually inject specific 5-star customer reviews into the Knowledge Graph.

Positive Notes (Pros)

Google supports "Editorial Review" snippets that display Pros and Cons directly on the search page. Use the Pros repeater to list the absolute best features of the product.

Negative Notes (Cons)

Use the Cons repeater to list minor drawbacks. Providing balanced editorial notes signals high trust to Google's Product Reviews algorithm.
